At T1 Combatives, we deliver full-spectrum tactical training—integrating strikes, grappling, weapon defense, and team tactics—designed to meet the realities of operational environments. While we address all aspects of combat, we place deliberate emphasis on grappling, as real-world encounters often involve arrests, weapon retention, or moments when firearms cannot be deployed. Control is the foundation for everything. Our team combines the experience of former special forces operators with the tested performance of established combat sports competitors, offering a unique balance of tactical application and real fighting capability—not just theory or certifications. Our programs incorporate systems such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Wrestling, and Krav Maga, all aligned under the principles of Kinetic Fighting – Integrated Combat. We cover the full use-of-force spectrum—from non-lethal control to lethal applications—ensuring every trainee is prepared to respond appropriately under pressure. Whether for military, law enforcement, or protective duties, our programs are built by those who’ve served and fought, for those who face real threats.
Below are three of our specialised programs, each focused on preparing professionals for their unique mission profiles.
With a team of instructors drawn from the most elite land and maritime units of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), T1 Combatives brings operational insight into every aspect of training. This makes us one of the most qualified teams to deliver mission-relevant self-defense and combatives instruction to military personnel.
The T1/KEF Military Integrated Combatives Program (T1/KEF MICP) is a full-spectrum close-combat system tailored for soldiers operating in today’s complex environments. It blends striking, grappling, weapon defense, and the use of basic melee weapons to address the real-world threats encountered in both peacetime duties and active combat.
Our methodology combines proven systems—Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Wrestling, and Krav Maga—into a unified framework based on Kinetic Fighting – Integrated Combat, developed by Paul Cale, architect of the Australian Army Combatives Program.
What sets T1/KEF MICP apart is its ability to bridge the gap between combatives and Close Quarters Battle (CQB). Instead of treating combatives as a standalone skill set, our program integrates it directly into team tactics, room clearing, and close-quarters team movement, ensuring that soldiers can apply physical control and force seamlessly within their CQB drills and mission profiles.
From non-lethal control to lethal applications, T1/KEF MICP equips soldiers with essential tools to dominate in close-range encounters, enhancing survivability and operational effectiveness in high-risk, high-stress situations.
Grappling is a constant reality in law enforcement—whether during suspect searches, arrests, or managing violent non-compliance. Drawing from our background in special operations and extensive experience in combat sports, T1 Combatives developed the T1/KEF Law Enforcement Integrated Combatives Program (T1/KEF LEICP) to meet the operational demands of modern policing.
This program delivers effective and legally defensible control and self-defense strategies, with a strong emphasis on safe restraint, systematic suspect searches, and secure handcuffing under pressure. Techniques are broken down into clear, manageable steps to ensure retention and real-world field application—even in high-stress encounters.
T1/KEF LEICP integrates striking, grappling, and weapon-based tactics drawn from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Wrestling, and Krav Maga, aligned with the principles of Kinetic Fighting – Integrated Combat—a system used by military and law enforcement units across Australia and New Zealand.
To further support law enforcement agencies, our courses are designed to be fully defensible in court, with the option to have an expert witness from Kinetic Fighting flown in to provide testimony or professional input in legal proceedings if required.
Team tactics and coordinated movement configurations are embedded into the curriculum, enabling officers to transition fluidly from individual engagement to team-level operations. The result is a comprehensive, adaptable, and survivability-focused self-defense and contact control system for today’s complex and dynamic policing environments.
In the realm of close protection, unarmed combat is a critical skill. Operators must be prepared for sudden, close-range threats where weapons may be involved and space is limited. The ability to neutralise an attacker while simultaneously protecting and evacuating the principal is essential.
The T1/KEF Third Party Close Protection Program (T1/KEF TPCPP) is designed to meet these demands. Developed by former special forces operators and aligned with the principles of Kinetic Fighting – Integrated Combat, this program equips bodyguards and protection specialists with the skills to rapidly control, subdue, or disarm a threat while maintaining physical and situational control of the principal.
Integrating striking, grappling, weapon defense, and non-lethal to lethal applications, the program also trains operators to move, shield, and extract principals under high-stress, dynamic conditions. Common team tactics and movement configurations are built into the training to ensure smooth coordination in team-based protection operations.
TPCPP focuses on what matters most in protective work: rapid threat suppression, principal safety, and functional integration within a close protection team.
Due to our team’s special forces background, we are uniquely positioned to advise military, law enforcement, and private security units on firearms training, edged weapons, and close-quarters battle (CQB) tactics and concepts. With extensive knowledge and experience spanning land and maritime operations, we provide actionable insights to enhance current standard operating procedures (SOPs) and tactics. Our goal is to elevate operational efficiency and effectiveness within your unit.
If you have questions about our programs or are interested in potential collaborations, feel free to reach out to us. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
